My story
I, Mariana Pereira, started my career as a hairdresser at the age of 17. I've always known what I wanted since I was a child. My parents always supported me in my studies, and at the time, my teachers evaluated every detail—they were all Japanese! It was a difficult time, because everything had to be perfect, correct.
At 18, I started working at the old Mappin shopping mall in São Paulo, and at 20, I worked in São Bernardo for Portuguese owners. I was always welcomed by everyone.
When I turned 26, I lost my mother, the person who most loved to do hair, Zelinda Guidelli, of Italian descent. My childhood dream was always to use the name 'Belli Capelli,' because of my Italian descent, but it was just a dream in my eyes, impossible.
At 27, it was the peak of my life. I worked in Rio de Janeiro, at the Rio Sul shopping mall, at Walter Coiffer. I stayed there for seven years; I learned a lot, working with all walks of life. I was very happy there.
When I got married, I returned to São Paulo and was soon called to work at Jacques Janine. It was different there, as it only served artists. It was a place specifically for celebrities. But I always kept dreaming, until one day, my brother asked me: 'Mariana, do you want to work? Do you want to have your own beauty salon?' And I said: 'Yes! Now I'm ready to own a beauty salon.' I couldn't believe it... I cried, thanking God. It was a dream. The name 'Belli Capelli' was in honor of my mother, and the surname Pereira is in honor of my father. Today, my brother and I own 'Belli Capelli,' and my dream came true thanks to my brother, Marcelo Pereira, who helped me, and my husband, Stharley Nunes, who took care of all the details of the structure , electrical work, and decoration.
